Palindrome Day Celebrated Yesterday

Sunday, 02/02/2020, is the first "global" palindrome day since 11/11/1111.

When a date reads the same way both forwards and backwards the day is marked as a palindrome day, although complications may arise due to date formats from country to country. The same concept and name, however, is used for words or phrases that follow the same rule, such as "mom," "race car," and "A Toyota's a Toyota."

Unlike 20/02/2002, which is another example of a palindrome day, this one is special, as it reads the same in both month-day-year and day-month-year formats. Furthermore, it is the only "global" palindrome day since the year 1111, marking a gap of 909 years between each date.

The next palindrome day will be on 12/12/2121.
